Bruce Wayne was an individual from Gotham City. To the denizens of Gotham City, he appeared to be nothing more than a playboy. However, in secret, he fought crime as the vigilante Batman.

Biography

Prior to Smallville appearances

Bruce Wayne was born in Gotham City, and for the first ten years of his life, he lived happily in Wayne Manor with his parents. However, at the age of ten, he witnessed his parents murder.

Eight years later, he left Gotham to travel the world. When he returned, he donned the leather-winged guise of Batman.

Eventually, he took on an apprentice in the form of Dick Grayson, who became Batman's partner, Robin.

Smallville Season Five

In 2005, Bruce was visiting Metropolis on business when he crossed paths with Clark Kent. Though they had a rocky start, they would eventually become close friends.

Later in the same year, Bruce reached out to Clark for help after Dick was kidnapped.
